Properties
The pure substance of this product is white solid. The product is in toluene solution. Its decomposition temperature is 205℃ and its flash point is 155℃. Specific weight: 1:12. Under dry environment, it can be stored for a long time and does not react with oxygen. It is a powerful hydride reductant that can reduce carboxylic acid anhydride and lactone into diols, and also can reduce amide, nitrile, imine and most nitrogen containing organic compounds into the corresponding amines.
Usage
This product is a reducing agent that has a unique activity in organic chemistry reactions. For most applications, this product can be interchangeable with LiAlH4. This product is easy to handle, and has high reducibility. The main industrial applications are: reduction of organic functional groups, catalyst in Grignard reaction and polymerization.
